Convento de Cristo, Tomar

We begin in Tomar, the city founded by the Templars. Here, we visit Convento de Cristo, the former headquarters of the Order. This monument, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivates with its unique architecture and the mysteries hidden within its walls, including the famous Manueline Window.

Tomar Castle and the Church of Santa Maria dos Olivais

Next to the convent stands Tomar Castle, an imposing fortress that served as both a defensive stronghold and residence for the Templars. We then visit the Church of Santa Maria dos Olivais, one of the most important temples of the era, the burial site of Templar masters, and a spiritual landmark of the order.

Almourol Castle

From Tomar, we proceed to the magical Almourol Castle, situated on a small island in the middle of the Tagus River. This castle is one of the most iconic examples of Templar military architecture and offers breathtaking views that evoke the atmosphere of epic adventures.
